During MND Awareness Week we collected the coins from the beautiful fountain in the Central Market in St. Helier
We had a very successful Garden Party at Reg’s Garden, St Brelade on Sunday 28th June, the sun shone and people poured in to enjoy the entertainment and cream teas.
Timmy Phillips has been building show jumps with the help of his family and friends and raising money for our Branch. He was diagnosed with MND in June 2008 and as he is no longer able to work, this craft fits in well with his equestrian background.
His mother, Tess has run Multina Riding School for about 50 years and the whole family has at some stage in their lives been involved with horses and local equestrian sport.
Timmy is no exception, having been a keen competitor since childhood, in shows and jumping events. Matthew Bertram, who is Timmy’s brother-in-law is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on 4 th September, also to raise money for MND and we wish him luck.
